WSCPA Membership Benefits


WSCPA provides the following services and benefits with membership


  1. Access to the WSCPA Member’s Only Website including By-laws, Code of Ethics, WSCPA Membership list, Quarterly Newsletter.
  2. Crime Prevention Training through the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
  3. Bi-Annual Conferences on Advanced Crime Prevention Issues such as 40-hour Basic Crime Prevention Class, First Line Supervisors Class, Crime Prevention for Community Policing Officers, 16-hour Volunteer Training, Crime Prevention Through
  4. Environmental Design (CPTED), Crime Free Multi Housing, Workplace Violence, and more.
  5. Free Literature

The Association also Sponsors the following programs:


  1. WSCPA Awards to recognize outstanding achievement in the crime prevention field
  2. Brion Schumann Scholarship to support college bound students


WSCPA Purpose:


The Purpose of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association (WSCPA) is to contribute to the reduction and control of criminal victimization in the State of Washington by:


  1. Encouraging the process of crime prevention education in public, private, and voluntary sectors.
  2. Providing support and guidance for crime prevention programs and activities.
  3. Enhancing the development and implementation of crime prevention programs.
  4. Focusing attention on local, regional, and state goals and issues relating to crime prevention.
  5. Informing elected officials, legislative bodies, and criminal justice personnel of current crime prevention trends and techniques necessary for reducing crime.
Membership Levels

It is the goal of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association (WSCPA) to promote inter-agency cooperation on matters dealing with Crime Prevention and Community Policing and to provide the resources necessary to meet this goal.


$50.00/Year - Single Membership 

Associate Membership is for individuals involved or interested in the field of crime prevention, who do not meet the criteria for Active Membership. Associate Members may serve on standing and /or ad hoc committees with full committee membership privileges. An Active Member in good standing must sponsor Associate Members.


$250.00/Year - Up to 5 members 

Sponsoring Membership can include anyone in your business or company actively engaged in crime prevention or loss prevention program for your company, or actively involved in reducing criminal victimization in your community.

For business or corporation, public or private that endeavors to make crime and community policing a way of life. 


$50.00/Year - Single Membership 

Active Membership shall be open to individuals who are actively employed in the crime prevention field and are not engaged in the business of selling, distributing, or promoting of crime prevention related products services.


$10.00/Year - Single Membership  

Volunteer Membership is for individuals in an unpaid capacity who are officially affiliated with a recognized crime prevention program. A member in good standing must sponsor volunteer members. Volunteer members may serve on standing and/or ad hoc committees with full committee privileges.



Agency Membership can include anyone in your department including:

        Crime Prevention
        Patrol Personnel 
        School Resource Officers
        Community Service Officers
        Community Resource Officers 
        Volunteers and Community Leaders 
        and Department Administration For
        Sheriff and Police Departments
        State, and Federal Agencies.


$250.00/Year - Up to 25 members


$150.00/Year - Up to 5 members



All Past Presidents of this association or other such persons who qualify by virtue of their dedication and service to the association shall receive Lifetime Active Membership.
